Painter who created more than 450 works over the course of his artistic career. He was heralded as one of the Slovene Lands' finest Impressionists.
He attended art school before working as an illustrator for the Ljubljana journal Dom in svet.
His impressionist-style paintings included "Willow Trees," "Ljubljana in Snow," and "Croatian Farmer."
He was raised in Ljubljana and Zagreb.
He and Edgar Degas were both celebrated Impressionist painters.
