Japanese actor who rose to widespread prominence for his portrayal of Philip in the Karmen Rider film and TV series. In 2017, he was cast as the popular character Haru in the 2018 film adaptation of the acclaimed manga series My Little Monster.
He earned his first major acting role in 2009 upon his portrayal of Philip on the Karmen Rider W TV series. He earned his film debut as Philip in 2010 in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 2010.
He was named one of GQ Japan's Men of the Year in 2016. He earned the Elan d'Or Newcomer of the Year award that same year.
He was born and raised in Japan's Osaka Prefecture.
He appeared in GQ Japan's annual Men of the Year issue in 2016 alongside Ken Watanabe.
