Her full name is Mary Sarah Gross, and her parents are Richard and Patricia Gross. She has an older sister, Emilee Elizabeth and an older brother, Christopher Thomas.
Her 2014 album Bridges featured a series of duets with their country stars such as Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton.
