She won Miss Mississippi in 1958 and was crowned Miss America the next year-- the first person from Mississippi to win the title.
She played Maggie Drummond on Diff'rent Strokes.
She divorced Gary Collins in 2012, but the two reconciled soon after.
She appeared on Perry Mason with Raymond Burr.
