Marvin Hagler
Boxer
American boxer who reigned as undisputed middleweight champion from 1980 to 1987. He compiled a remarkable 62-3-2 record across his historic career and Boxing Illustrated named him as the Fighter of the Decade for the 1980s.
His home was destroyed during the Newark Riots, which prompted his move to Massachusetts.
He legally changed his first name to Marvelous after becoming upset that the announcers never referred to him as Marvelous like he had asked.
Had four children with his first wife and later married Kaye Guarrera.
He was a their boxer much like Sugar Ray Robinson.
