Martin Whitmarsh

English entrepreneur who became CEO of McLaren Racing and Chairman of the Formula One Teams Association. The University of Portsmouth awarded him the honorary Doctor of Laws in 2009.
He began working in the early 1980s as an engineer for British Aerospace (BAE Systems).
He revealed, during a BBC interview at the 2011 Belgian Grand Prix, that he suffered from colorblindness.
He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Portsmouth Polytechnic University in 1980.
He replaced fellow entrepreneur, Ron Dennis, as Team Principal of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in 2009.
