Striker who won the Football League Trophy in 1992-1993 and was selected as the Port Vale Player of the Year in 1995 and 1999.
He played youth soccer for Southampton in 1980.
He went on to start a career managing soccer teams after his playing days were over.
He got married in June 1985.
He managed striker Billy Paynter on Port Vale.
