American musician and multi-instrumentalist who is best known for being a former member of the indie band The Shins.
With a passion for music early on, he attended high school in Las Vegas where he formed his first band Captain Go. After moving to Portland, he joined The Shins.
He was featured in the Current TV documentary All Eyes on The Shins.
He was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As a former member of The Shins, he can be seen in relation to James Mercer, playing alongside him on several shows and albums.
