International badminton player best known for winning the gold medal during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. He has also won gold medals at the 2006 World Cup as well as the 2007 World Badminton Championships in Malaysia.
He began his professional badminton career in 2005.
He was rated as the number one ranked badminton player in doubles in September 2007.
His father's name is Djumharbey Anwar and his mother's name is Yul Asteria Zakaria.
He played alongside Hendra Setiawan in doubles during the 2008 Olympic Games.
