Offensive lineman who won two Super Bowls during his ten-year run as a member of the Washington Redskins. Since retiring, he has become a successful football analyst, appearing on shows like TNT's Sunday Night Football and College Football Live.
He lettered in football, basketball and track at Oneonta High School in New York. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers, where he won the Outland Trophy as the best interior lineman in the country.
He chronicled his experiences in Washington in the 2005 book Mark May's Tales from the Washington Redskins, co-written with Dan O'Brien.
He married a woman named Kathy. He has daughters named Bryce and Abra.
He blocked for running back John Riggins in Super Bowl XVII.
