Mexican race car driver who won the U.S. Formula Russell Mazda Championship in 1992 and the Mexican Formula Three Championship in 1998. He was later named CART Rookie of the Year in 2002.
He started racing karts in the 80's and represented Mexico at three World Karting Championships.
He held the title of Sports Ambassador for Mexico City until it was stripped following a hit and run incident in 2007.
His father took him to the 1986 Formula 1 Grand Prix.
He filled in for Dan Clarke on Minardi Team USA during Clarke's temporary suspension.
