Notable for her recurring roles on Family Matters, The Parkers, and Soul Food, she is also recognized for her work as a model, as well as for her appearances in films such as Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest and Bodily Harm.
She made her screen acting debut in a 1992 episode of Baywatch and went on to train at New York University's their Tisch School of the Arts.
Apart from her acting career, she worked as a Los Angeles-based real estate agent.
She spent her youth in Miami, Florida. Her marriage to Carl Johnson lasted from 1994 to 1996 and produced one son.
She and Alyson Hannigan were both in the cast of the 1998 feature film Dead Man on Campus.
