Director and actor best known for his work on the 2007 film Glen or Glenda.
He began studying theatre at age eight and first worked in the film industry as a makeup artist.
His debut film was La Lluvia in 2003.
He was born in Peru. His family moved to the United States when he was young.
He collaborated on several occasions with the world-renowned photographer David Lachapelle.
