Defenseman who won gold at the 2014 Olympics for Canada and made his NHL debut during the 2006-2007 season with the San Jose Sharks. He helped the Sharks reach the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals.
He played for the Quebec Remparts in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
He got the nickname "Pickles" due to having the same surname as the pickles company Vlasic.
He has three younger brothers: James, Charles, and Thomas.
Goaltender Evgeni Nabokov was his teammate on the Sharks.
