Singer who has become hugely respected in the Indian film industry for her playback singing on such films as Slumdog Millionaire (2008), Dabangg (2010) and Jaya Janaki Nayaka (2017). Prior to her Bollywood career, she lent her talents to many Bhojpuri.
She graduated from Saint Paul's School Morar Gwalior, where she was a stage performer.
She won awards for Best Debut Singer Female and Best Playback Singer Female at the 17th Star Screen Awards.
She married Ashraf Ali.
She sang with Mika Singh and Neeti Mohan on "Tang Uthake" from the comedy Housefull 3 (2016).
