Playwright, actress, and sex educator known for the plays Her Train of Thought, Not Just Another Coming Out Story, and From the Inside, Out. Her work covers topics like self-harm and LGBTQ struggles.
She started acting at a very young age, appearing as a munchkin in a production of the Wizard of Oz. She attended Oberlin College, graduating with a double major in theatre and gender & woman's studies.
She's been a prominently featured voice in the LGBT community, which includes work with homeless youth, and was named a Person to Watch in 2015 by The Advocate. She appeared in a 2012 episode of The Good Wife as Pamela Wozniak.
Her siblings are Celia and Andrew Keenan-Bolger, who are also theatre actors.
Her LGBT activism earned her an invitation to the White House from Vice President Joe Biden.
