Singer-songwriter, actress and model who made her television debut in 2015 when she began competing on American Idol season XIV.
She was given the name Madeline Victoria Robertson at birth and legally changed it in 1999 to Madeline Victoria Hudson-Robertson. She goes by Maddy Hudson for her professional name.
She started singing when she was 6 years old, playing guitar at 13, and writing music at 15. She was on the varsity swim team and also played water polo in high school.
She was raised by a single mother named Ashli Hudson and was born in Pleasanton, California.
She competed in the same season of American Idol as Loren Lott.
