Chinese entrepreneur known by the nickname "Pony Ma" who became their for co-founding Tencent Holdings Limited, a major Chinese investment and internet business.
After graduating from Shenzhen University, he founded Tencent and developed Tencent QQ, a popular Chinese instant messenger program.
Time magazine named him one of the "World's Most Influential People" of 2007. By 2013, he was one of the two hundred wealthiest people in the world.
He was born and raised in China's Guangdong Province.
He and YouTube founder Steve Chen both became successful Chinese internet entrepreneurs.
