Famous for playing Irene Roberts on the popular Seven Network soap opera Home and Away, this Australian actress appeared on the show from 1993 until 2014.
Before beginning her television acting career, she studied at New South Wales' Riverina College of Advanced Education and worked as a schoolteacher.
Though actress Jacqui Phillips was the original Irene Roberts on Home and Away (from 1991 until 1992), McGranger is the performer who became identified with the part.
She was born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She has a daughter named Clancy with her husband Paul McWaters.
She and Ray Meagher were both longtime members of the Home and Away cast.
