Horse jockey who rode the racehorse Black Caviar for 22 of her record-setting 25 straight wins.
He began his apprenticeship in Dalby Queensland, and was relatively unknown in Melbourne when the trainer Peter Moody - mistaking him for his brother - offered him a ride at Sale.
Overall, he rode more than 3,200 times on horses trained by Moody, winning more than 660 races and earning more than $41 million in prize awards.
He was born in the rural town of Manangatang, Victoria.
He and Angel Cordero both compiled remarkable careers as horse jockeys.
