Leading Australian chef and restaurateur with French classical training and Asian influences who became the owner and operator of glass brasserie, mojo by Luke Mangan, and multiple Salt grill and Salt tapas locations. He is also the consulting chef for Virgin Australia.
His career started in Melbourne under Herman Schneider of Two Faces fame. After completing his training, Luke persuaded Michel Roux of the 3 Michelin starred Waterside Inn in London to give him a chance.
He has written five best-selling cookbooks as well as an autobiography called The Making of a Chef. He became the host of 2GB's Sunday morning Fresh! radio program. He is the co-founder of the Appetite for Excellence hospitality awards program.
He grew up in a family of seven boys in Melbourne, Australia.
He has received requests to cook from former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Richard Branson and Tom Cruise.
