Actor, filmmaker, prosthetics technician and stuntman who portrayed the titular Mother in Netflix's I Am Mother. He also played Krampus in Krampus. He worked on Peter Jackson blockbusters including King Kong and The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings franchises. He also acted in James Cameron's Avatar.
He began working as a workshop technician for Weta Workshop in the early 2000s.
He played Granddad Ruggerbee in the series Small Blacks TV from 2012 to 2018.
He married Frances Richardson in March of 2008.
While he brought to the life the robotics of Mother in I Am Mother, Rose Byrne provided the voice.
