Bass opera singer who played the part of Leporello in the opera Don Giovanni.
He studied at the Conservatorio della Pietà de' Turchini in Naples.
He was more interested in acting than in singing, but each time he fled the Conservatorio to start an acting career he had to return because he could not find work.
He was a pallbearer at the funeral of Ludwig van Beethoven.
