B-movie actor who starred as FBI agent Briggs in the 1945 film, The House on 92nd Street. His other credits include King of Alcatraz, The Girl Hunters, and The Magnificent Fraud.
He was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
He won an Emmy Award in 1955 for playing Captain Queeg in The Caine Mutiny Court Martial.
