American blues singer known for his virtuoso harmonica playing. He is best remembered for songs like "Juke" and "My Babe."
He left school at age 12 and began perfecting his musicianship while playing with much older blues musicians.
His compilation album The Best of Little Walter was ranked #198 by Rolling Stone magazine on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
His daughter Marion helped to establish the Little Walter Foundation in Chicago.
He was the featured harmonica player on recordings by artists like Bo Diddley.
