British actress best known for her roles as Shirley Carter on EastEnders and Yvonne Atkins on Bad Girls. She has also appeared on the shows Cracker and Prime Suspect.
She started her acting career at 19 with a small role on a 1982 episode of The Young Ones.
She was ranked #89 on the list of Top 100 EastEnders Characters of All Time.
She married Stavros Virilis in July 1992; the couple had one child together.
She acted alongside Danny Dyer in the 2005 crime-thriller The Business.
