She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in the early 1920s and subsequently made her Broadway debut in The Sapphire Ring.
She had both male and female lovers and became somewhat intheir for her colorful personal life.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Alfred Holzman and Rachel Florence Workum Holzman.
She appeared with Fred Allen in the 1929 Broadway musical The Little Show.
