12th place finisher for the reality series Produce 48, which was good enough to earn her place as a member of the 12-piece girl group IZONE.
She previously appeared on the shows K-pop Star 3 in 2013 and SIXTEEN in 2015.
She trained under JYP Entertainment.
She has a younger sister named Lee Chaeryeong, known mononymously as Chaeryeong, who also took part in the show SIXTEEN. She has another younger sister named Chaemin.
She is close with fellow Korean singer Lee Seo-yeon.
