Lauren Flanigan
Opera Singer
American operatic soprano known for her work with the New York City Opera. There, she appeared in operas like La Boheme, The Seven Deadly Sins, and Macbeth.
She began her career in The Turn of the Screw with the San Francisco Western Opera Theatre, which earned her a scholarship to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
She has won many awards for her work, including the Betty Allen Prize from the New York City Opera and an Artist of the Year Award from the Center for Contemporary Opera.
She was born in San Francisco, California, but lived much of her life in New York City.
She performed in Giuseppe Verdi's I Lombardi alla prima crociata alongside opera legend Luciano Pavarotti.
