Olympic gymnast who is known for having competed in several different Olympic Games including Athens, Beijing, and London. She is also a professional skier who advanced and excelled, eventually earning a place in the Sochi winter Olympics for Brazil.
Beginning with gymnastics at a young age, she competed in her first Olympic games in 2004 in Athens. After a hand fracture in 2012, she began to take up skiing and went on to earn a spot at the Sochi Olympics in Russia. In January of 2014, she suffered an injury in training which altered her career.
After a neck injury, multiple surgeries, and extended time in the hospital, she began posting recovery footage and physical therapy exercises to her Instagram where she inspires others on her road to recovery. She shares her inspirational clips and messages with her over 700,000 Instagram followers.
She was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
