She began her La Carmina blog in 2007 while she was studying at Yale Law. By the time she had graduated, she was blogging full time.
She has become a successful travel journalist for CNN and Yahoo and an international host for Food Network and Nat Geo.
Native to Canada, she is of Japanese descent.
