Famous for her role as Lady Choi in the Korean television series Dae Jang Geum, this popular actress also appeared in the series Golden Bride, winning a 2007 SBS Drama Award for her role as Yang Ok-kyung.

Before Fame

After studying in the dance department at Sejong University in Seoul, South Korea, she appeared in 500 Years of Joseon and several other 1980s television series.

Trivia

A singer as well as an actress, she released her debut pop album, Happy Women, in 2009.

Family Life

Her first marriage, to Im Young-gyu, lasted from 1987 until 1993; her second marriage, to Lee Hong-heon, began in 1998. She raised two daughters, one of whom, Lee Yu-bi, also became an actress.

She and Ji Jin-hee were both in the cast of Dae Jang Geum.
