Renowned chef who has earned many accolades for her work with various high-profile restaurants, including Resto, Avec and Blackbird. She is also known for her appearances on popular cooking shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef.
She spent time in a variety of countries growing up, including Zimbabwe, Brazil and England. She served in the U.S. Army for nine years before graduating from the Culinary Institute of America.
She won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Great Lakes in 2010.
She was engaged to famed television chef Anne Burrell in 2012, but the two separated before marrying.
She and Nigella Lawson have both been guest judges on Top Chef.
