Konrad Lorenz
Pharmacologist
Austrian zoologist, ethologist, and ornithologist who won the 1973 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and is considered one of the founders of modern ethology.
He started a premedical curriculum at Columbia University in 1922 and studied at the University of Vienna in 1923.
He released a number of well-known books including King Solomon's Ring and On Aggression.
His father, Adolf Lorenz, is the one who encouraged him to study medicine.
He was inspired as a child by Selma Lagerlof's book The Wonderful Adventures of Nils.
