Jamaican sound engineer who was a big influence on the development of the dub style of music in the 1960s and 1970s.
He worked as a radio and television repairman at his own electrical repair shop in Kingston, Jamaica.
He also worked as a disc cutter for producer Duke Reid in 1968.
His family came from Kingston, Jamaica where he also grew up and worked.
Carlton Barrett played drums on the original track of the song King Tubby Meets The Rockers Uptown, which he dubbed in 1974.
