He played his youth soccer with Real Madrid and spent time playing with the B and C teams before being acquired by Espanyol.
He's made international appearances with Spain and Catalonia, but has often found himself behind established starters like David de Gea and Iker Casillas.
He has a daughter named Ainara with his wife Rosa.
