She and DeRozan met during his only season at the University of South California where they both were students.
Her father played for the Alaska team in the Philippine Basketball Association in the 1980s.
She is half-Filipino. She and DeRozan had two daughters together before separating in 2018.
Friends with basketball star Kyle Lowry, she has posted photos of their children, Diar DeRozan and Karter Lowry, together.
