Keyon Harrold
Trumpet Player
Trumpeter who won a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for his work on the 2015 biographical film Miles Ahead. He was involved in a viral incident in January 2020 when his son was wrongfully accused of stealing a cell phone and assaulted in New York City.
He earned a degree from the School of Jazz at The New School.
In 2016, he played in Common's Tiny Desk Concert for NPR at The White House. He was featured in the August 2020 live stream of the recording of Bilal's EP VOYAGE-19.
His son's name is Keyon Harrold, Jr.
His long-time mentor is legendary trumpeter Charles Tolliver.
