He founded The Small Business Center in 1980. He is credited with having produced the first infomercial in 1984.
He has been named by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs in the world. He published a book titled Act Now!: How I Turn Ideas into Million-Dollar Products.
He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He appeared alongside Kevin O'Leary during the first two seasons of Shark Tank.
