Canadian singer best known as the frontman for the indie rock band Broken Social Scene. His solo debut, "Spirit If...", was released in 2007.
He was a student at the Etobcoke School of the Arts in Toronto.
He contributed a song to the AIDS benefit album "Dark Was the Night" in 2009.
He married Jo-ann Goldsmith, who has played trumpet in Broken Social Scene.
He and Amy Millan of the band Stars both attended the Etobcoke School of the Arts.
