American forward who was named to the MLS Best XI in 2008 as a member of FC Dallas. He played for 1860 Munich in Germany for two years, then in 2014 joined the Seattle Sounders FC.
He began his professional career with Manchester United and played with the team from 2004 to 2006.
He joined the United States national team in 2007.
He married Molly Grimm in January, 2012.
He played alongside British star Wayne Rooney on Manchester United for two seasons.
