Kenneth G. Mills
Composer
Known as a Renaissance man. His gifts extended to metaphysics, philosophy, extemporaneous poetry, and painting. He embraced the idea of oral tradition and delivered spontaneous lectures and poetry for more then three decades.
He debuted as a concert pianist in Toronto in 1952 and in New York City in 1961.
He founded the a cappella vocal ensemble The Star-Scape Singers in 1976.
His family recognized his musical abilities early on, and he began studying music when he was seven.
His writings were dramatized by the Earth-Stage Actors in 1989, with some critics comparing the resulting theatre as akin to contemporary William Shakespeare.
