Ken Tyrrell

Founder of the Tyrrell Formula One constructor though he primarily raced in Formula Two for a brief amount of time. He decided he was better suited as a racing team manager.
He started out in Formula 3 in 1952 before making the jump to Formula 2 in 1958.
He finally moved up to Formula One in 1968 as the team principal of Matra International.
He was born in East Horsley, Surrey, England.
He is credited for discovering multiple championship winning driver Jackie Stewart.
