Ken Reid
Journalist
Notable as a political journalist and editor with the Belfast-based UTV media broadcasting company, he is also known for his earlier print work with the Sunday News and the Cork Examiner. He received CIPR Press and Broadcast Awards for "News Broadcaster of the Year" in both 2005 and 2006.
He began his career in the late 1970s, initially working for the Northern Irish newspaper The News Letter.
He attended both Methodist College Belfast and the University of Hull.
Born in Belfast, he later settled in County Antrim with his wife, Liz, and his children Gareth, Sarah, and Sophie.
He and fellow Northern Irish broadcast journalist Paul Clark are both their for their work with the UTV network.
