Ken Levine
Entrepreneur
Co-founder of Irrational Games, which was responsible for BioShock, Thief: The Dark Project, and numerous other gaming franchises.
He originally intended to write films for Hollywood, but with his first two scripts rejected, he turned to working for a video-game company.
His worlds looked fairly close to ours as opposed to existing in alternate universes. He emphasized such elements as greed and corruption in the story lines.
He was born in Flushing, New York, and was raised Jewish, although he would later embrace atheism.
His BioShock was so successful that there was talk of spinning it off into a movie directed by Gore Verbinski.
