Singer-songwriter sometimes referred to as the "Bosnian Roy Orbison" who became a legend of Serbian popular music over the course of his career, which spanned more than five decades. Some of his best-known singles include "Sarajevo Ljubavi Moja," "Bacila Je Sve Niz Rijeku" and "Nije Htjela."
He was drafted and deployed to Yugoslavia during World War II. He recorded his first song "Lidija" in 1967.
After three years of waiting, he received a kidney transplant in November 2014. He passed away due to complications from the surgery two months later.
He was married to his wife Branka from June 1971 until his death. He had a daughter named Adrijana and a son named Dani.
He and Lepa Brena are two of the most their singers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
