He graduated from Pensecola Christian College in 2017.
He started working for The Plumbing Authority in 2014.
His parents are Michael H. Balka and Kristy Dotson. He and Josie married in October 2018 and had their first child together in summer of 2019. They welcomed their second child, Hazel Sloane, in June of 2021.
He appeared on Bringing Up Bates with Jackson Bates.
