Kelly Ayotte

Republican politician who became a United States Senator from New Hampshire in 2011. She was the youngest of the 20 female Senators that were in office when she entered the Senate.
She graduated from Pennsylvania State University and Villanova University School of Law before working as a law clerk for the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
Governor Benson appointed her to be New Hampshire's first female attorney general in 2004 following the resignation of Peter Heed.
She had two children with her husband Joseph.
She was mentioned as a possible running mate for Republican nominee Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election.
