Painter whose best-known works included landscapes and portraits. His 2,000 works of art included landscapes, portraits, and fantasy paintings.
He studied the organ in his native Lithuania and later relocated to the United States, where he worked for his brother.
He was given the 1962 Lithuanian SSR Honored Art Worker award and the 1972 Lithuanian SSR folk artist award.
He was born and raised in Northern Lithuania.
He and William Zorach were fellow Lithuanian artists.
