She won the Miss Michigan pageant in 1987 which led to her competing for Miss America in 1988.
There is a street in her hometown of Monroe, Michigan named after her.
She married Charles Wilson, and they have three children together.
She was interviewed by Michael Moore in his documentary Roger & Me.
